“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” first trailer is here, and suggests a rambunctious turn through jungle terrain as our protagonists try to figure out a winning strategy to playing the game – “Jumanji”. It also suggests that the movie might not be very good. But being good and being entertaining aren’t synonymous. If it is at least entertaining, then six dollars on a small popcorn doesn’t sting as much – maybe.
The game has changed and so have the players. “Jumanji” stars Jack Black, Karen Gillan and America’s new house guests – Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson and Kevin Hart. Those two seem to have made a pact – probably one based on the ability to make money together. And Kevin Hart seems to be well on his way to being the Diminutive Samuel L. Jackson showing up everywhere. Don’t be surprised if those two hosting a major award show or two in the near future.
