Movie studios continue to remake this movie. This is the second Hercules movie in less than a year – the other being ‘The Legend of Hercules’ which starred Kellan Lutz. The trailers for that movie seemed lacking in production value and absent of any of that epic gravitas you want or that is needed with these period fantasies if they hope to have a successful run at the box office. (I just looked it up. These two movies are less than 7 months apart. Seriously. Wow!)
Unfortunately, This second trailer for ‘Hercules’ which stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson who does has more cache than Kellan Lutz , appears to be doomed to the same fate as the previous Hercules movie. Maybe the star power of Dwayne Johnson can mitigate that, but star power isn’t what used to be – see Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Jim Carrey, Adan Sadler… ‘Hercules’ is schedule to open on Friday, July 25th.
